Engineer Water/Wastewater Duties: Monitor and report on project progress to their client, Division and Project Managers. Responsible for the designing of waste water treatment plants and collection systems, water, wastewater or stormwater conveyance. Responsible for Wastewater facility design, pipeline and pumping station design. Develop the designs for a dependable collection and treatment plan that is crucial to maintaining the quality of public water supplies. Responsible for the creation of the optimal solution with an understanding of the complex issues involved, compliance with ever-changing regulations, and the increasing costs of developing and maintaining an effective sewerage system. Present your engineering input as a team member of Waste Water Services and Public Water Services as part of overall services such as; Feasibility Studies, Rate Studies, Grant Assistance, I/I Studies and Analysis, Compliance Plans, NPDES and TDML Compliance, Treatment, Disposal, Permitting, Operations and Maintenance, Construction Inspection and Mapping. Develop acceptable sources of potable water for the current population, but also for the communities future growth and development while knowing that industrial and agricultural chemicals are in the water supply, as well as some naturally-occurring elements, are causes for health concerns. Find sources of public water, and then create the systems to treat it, store it and distribute it; work with their operating personnel during the study and design phases thereby providing a constructed project meeting the specific needs while complying with the government regulations. Use your consulting skills when dealing with clients and regulatory agencies. Responsible for budgeting, financial tracking, quality assurance and quality control, scheduling. Based on experience level will have the leadership and direct supervision of engineering design process and products. Develop technical approaches to projects during the proposal stage. Develop and manage multiple project scopes, work breakdown structures, schedules, and budgets. Managing change and risk throughout project delivery. Lead project meetings and guide project teams. Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in water, wastewater or stormwater conveyance. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Wastewater facility design, pipeline and pumping station design experience preferred. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience providing the highest quality of professional wastewater engineering services, including water quality modeling, wastewater collection, municipal wastewater treatment, outfall, wastewater re-use, and residuals management. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience with public agencies, municipalities, utilities, and industrial clients with the versatility and experience needed to guide projects through cost analysis, planning, budgeting, design approval, construction management, start-up and operation. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience with responsibilities that included business development and project and program management in a wastewater market for the service lines of planning, consulting, design and construction management. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience where you had the responsibility to plan, schedule, conduct and supervise/lead technically competent staff within the wastewater discipline in the design on high revenue, high complexity projects. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience involved in continuous client contact from the proposal stage to project completion. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience where you had to provide overall project direction to the project team(s) while providing information about the status of the project to others in the firm. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience where you had to plan and conduct work requiring a significant level of judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and modification of unconventional and complex techniques, procedures and criteria. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience where you had to be accountable for the development, coordination and execution of design activities.
