Description:ResponsibilitiesField Service Engineer will provide customers and owners of IDI equipment technical assistance and instruction in the installation, maintenance, and operation of our products and processes. Consult with customer on erection requirements and protocol. Place equipment into operation and instruct users in use and care of equipment. Inspect completed installations. Instruct customers in the use of operations and maintenance manuals for IDI equipment. Report problems and recommend improvements in design or process. Investigate and correct malfunctions ? repair and calibrate when necessary. Consult with customer in spare parts requirements and assist in procurement. Serve as liaison between customers and IDI office. Document all activities for use by marketing, engineering, and procurement staff. Candidate will have 3-5 years shop or field experience in installation, maintenance and operation of similar or related equipment. Degree in engineering helpful but will consider compatible work experience as a substituted for degree. Must be organized, good mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge helpful, problem solver and self directed. Willing and able to travel 85% in North American and aboard.
