Geomega, an environmental consulting firm, is looking for a mid-level hydrogeologist with 3+ years of professional experience in numerical modeling of groundwater flow and transport in mining or environmental related fields. The vacancy is in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office. A post-graduate degree (MS or PhD) in hydrogeology, environmental engineering or other relevant field is required. The candidate should also have project management experience.

The candidate should possess excellent communication, organizational and report writing skills. Professional certifications (EIT or PE, PG, especially California, and OSHA and MHSA) or the ability to obtain said certifications within six months are a plus.

Ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

• Subsurface geological, hydrogeological, and geochemical characterization of hazardous waste, mining, or petrochemical industry sites
• Modeling of groundwater flow (e.g., MODFLOW or FEFLOW) and transport in saturated and unsaturated systems
• Project management of hazardous waste, mining, or petrochemical industry sites
• Aquifer testing and data evaluation using AQTESOLV and/or Aquifer Test Pro or similar
• Soil and groundwater sampling

The position may require travel.
