Take part in a wide variety of physical and contaminant hydrogeology projects. Specific work may include investigations in support of Permit to Take Water applications, environmental impact assessments, water supply development, hydrologic budget assessments, landfilled waste impact assessments and contaminated site remediation; Design and conduct field investigations involving soil and rock drilling, monitoring well installation, various sampling programs, pumping tests and contaminated site investigations; Analyse field data, produce conclusions and recommendations; Proposal and report writing; Interact with other Golder offices, clients and regulatory agencies; and Organizing staff for field and office work, and project management. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with critical thinking and problem solving skills, and possess the following qualifications: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Earth Sciences or a B.A.Sc. or M.A.Sc. in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering (with strong training in Hydrogeology); Three to five years relevant industry experience in physical and contaminant hydrogeology; Strong knowledge of physical and contaminant hydrogeology, and bedrock and Quaternary geology; Direct experience with the regulatory environment in Southern Ontario. Current (or eligibility for) professional registration in Ontario; Aptitude for consulting, including client communication and business development; Excellent work ethic with solid organization and time management abilities. Strong interpersonal, verbal communication and technical writing skills are essential; Valid Class 'G' driver's license; Access to a vehicle on a daily basis as travel to a variety of locations is not easily assessable by public transportation; and Available for business travel and extended working hours, when required.
