You will be working out of the Denver office working closely with a technical team in Wyoming while supporting the drilling and exploration program by optimizing the drilling performance, managing and supervising drill rig operations. This is a hands-on role that will see you plan, execute, and manage all phases of directional drilling to deliver quality service to the new UCG operation, both nationally and internationally as required. You will therefore demonstrate your operational experience using directional drilling technology, research and report writing and preparation and reporting of End of Well Reports. We are looking for: • A Drilling Engineer with a minimum of 10-15 years oil & gas drilling experience • Experience drawing up drilling programs, selection of rigs, parts, and casting • Experience managing and supervising drill rig operations • Operational experience using directional drilling technology • Research and report writing experience • International drilling experience would be desirable • Experienced in preparation and reporting of End of Well Reports Other responsibilities: • Provide directional drilling engineering input on conceptual, feasibility and design studies for new UCG Generator development • Provide engineering, planning and permitting aspects of all UCG drilling activities to ensure well sites are drilled, completed and maintained in a safe, cost effective and and environmentally responsible manner • Prepare cost estimates and budgets • Design directional well paths, select drilling equipment • Supervision of directional drilling and related contracts • Monitor safety and well site maintenance Call Claudia (303) 991-2200
