Description:ESA?s Water Group has an immediate opening for a talented and energetic Project Manager/ Environmental Planner to join our growing Water Group in our San Francisco, Oakland or Petaluma office. This position will work closely with the Bay Area Water Director to provide excellent client and project management services to our water clients on challenging and stimulating water resources projects in the West, including: aquifer storage and recovery/conjunctive use, recycled water master plans, indirect potable reuse, storm water management, wetland creation, state-of-the-art treatment facilities, and water transfers.As a Project Manager, client and project management responsibilities will include working on behalf of ESA?s clients to manage and prepare CEQA/NEPA environmental documents on a variety of water projects; develop and manage scopes, schedules and budgets; coordinate with appropriate stakeholders including client and regulatory agencies; and prepare proposals for and participate in interviews for prospective project work. Position requirements include: minimum 5-7 years of previous environmental consulting experience; 2-5 years experience managing and preparing environmental/planning studies and reports for small to large water-related projects; and comprehensive knowledge of the CEQA/NEPA processes. In addition, the candidate will be highly organized and self-motivated; able to work independently and as part of a team; have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills; be comfortable working in a deadline-oriented environment; and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior environmental consulting experience a plus. Education requirements: B.S. / M.S. in environmental planning, science/planning, urban planning, public policy or related field.
