Description:A prestigous Civil Engineering Firm is seeking a Water Resources or Water/Waste Water Project Engineer for its Columbia, SC office.This individual will perfom Civil Engineering functions while working with other engineers on projects involving the study and design of storm water facilities and water and sewer utilities. Responsibilities will include water resources planning and site layout engineering design. Included in this may include preparing reports and producing drawings and specifications related to flood studies, storm water facilities design, underground utilities, site development, paving, sediment control, water quality, and surface water hydrology and hydraulics. Environmental planning and investigations, data analysis, evaluation will also be a part of the essential duties along with the development of design calculations, and prepartation of specifications, and drawings for bid and construction. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering - PE or EIT prepared to obtain PE within 1 yr. of hire. - 3 - 8 years of Civil Engineering Design experience and use of design software - apps. like AutoCAD, InRoads, StormCAD, WaterCAD, SewerCAd, etc. Must have proven experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling in public and private projects. - Must have experience with HEC-RAS, SWMM, Geopak Drainage, HEC-HMS and 2D Modeling is a plus. - Riverine hydraulic analysis using HEC-2 or HEC-RAS and FEMA map revision experience is desirable Experience in all pahases of civil design, project planning, drawing and specification development, calculation and report writing. The ideal candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with clients and other project team members Location: Columbia, SC Compensation: $50,000 - $75,000 + /yr.
